| "What
makes a people great and testifies to its
greatness is its aspiration for the well
being of its country and the practical
achievement of these same aspirations for
its own benefit and for that of future
generations. Unity gives strength and
assures success" |

Trevor
Westcarr, Musical Director
| I have worked
extensively as a guitarist for 15 years,
particularly in Europe and North America.
I have worked on a major circuit doing
performances for politically orientated
festivals (these included AIDS victims'
Northern Country Trust for people with
HIV, Africabana, Amnesty International
and recently UNESCO in the United States).
I have more recently been involved in
exploring my musical endeavours such as
writing, directing and composing. I
continually utilise my personal wealth of
energy and experience in the field of
Reggae, Soul and Jazz, which I am
presently studying. Peace. |

Inyaki Yarritu, Keyboards
| I
have been a Reggae fan since the late 70's,
when Bob Marley came to perform in my
country, Spain. Since then I started
collecting records. Eventually I became
involved in presenting a Reggae radio
show and DJ-ing. Also during the 80's I
started writing articles about Reggae
music and getting involved in promoting
and organizing live shows with
international Reggae stars. I came to
London in the 90's. I studied sound
engineering and started doing studio work
(sequencing and producing) and also
writing my own compositions (in a dub-instrumental
Reggae style). In the last five years I
have been concentrating on playing with
London and Spanish Reggae bands (keyboards
and bass) such as B.D.F, All Nations and
Lo'verses Band. |

Lillian Phirmis, Bass Guitar
| I have been playing
bass guitar since I was 16 years old. By
meeting an English producer called Johnny
Walker, I had my first experience of
studio recording in the Ruff
Cutt Studio.
Thus I had the opportunity to work with
him for one year, to do several music
recordings. During this time, I became
very interested in production and
engineering. Out of this came my own
concern, Tafari Studio Home. |

Marc , Drums
| Grew up on the hip-hop
and funk vibes. Big respects to the
Streetsounds electro albums and B.A.D!
Started learning the drums about 1992,
eventually going to Drumtech about 1997
for further study and getting into the
reggae big time! Was in several bands
that didn't make it but it was a good
learning experience. Now part of the Lo'verses
krew, learning and improving myself about
what we are doing. Making music that's
saying something, which is great, and
something that I hope to do in the future.
Give thanks. |

Louvra
Kakulo, Rhythm Guitar
| I was born in the
country of Angola and I have always been
interested in music, particularly reggae
as well as my traditional folk music
"Rumba" (a-rum-ba). I attended
Lewisham College a couple of years ago to
study popular music, of which I am making
good use in the Lo'Verses Band,
specialising in the rhythm section. My
hobbies are football, reading and
travelling, which I hope to fulfil on a
larger scale with the music I am
currently doing. I hope to one day travel
back to my homeland and make a
contribution as an experienced musician.
Also, through the grace of God to make
come true a dream of playing before my
native Angolan brothers and sisters who I
miss so dearly. |

Toks,
Guitarist
| Toks
has been playing guitar for the best part
of 7 "jazz light" years.
Inspired by listening to a range of
different jazz records (as they were in
his time!!), he is interested in all
types of music. His favourite players on
the jazz scene are Wes Mongomery, Joe
Pass and John McLaughlin. He aspires to
become an all round musician,
specialising not only in jazz, but also
rock and classical. Toks modestly claims
he's a long way off, but by the look of
things, not that far before he reaches
his musical quest. |

Amelia C.J.
John, Vocals
| I started out
singing at school from an early age in
the footsteps of my mother who was a lead
singer and my father, a keyboard player.
When I left school I joined my mother
doing Personal Appearances in and around
the local district, harmonising and
singing lead. Over the years I have done
various studio work and currently I am
working with a big band covering a wide
variety and style of music. This covers a
selection of rhythm and blues, jazz,
calypso, reggae and soul. I am presently
learning the electric bass guitar,
combining my singing as well as playing
in unison. My ambition is to complete a
project which I am currently working on
and attain a recording contract to secure
a future in the business. |
