"What
makes a people great and testifies to its
greatness is its aspiration for the well being of
its country and the practical achievement of
these same aspirations for its own benefit and
for that of future generations. Unity gives
strength and assures success" H.I.M.
Speech, 10th December 1956 |

| Lo'Verses Band is part of Tafari Studio Home The Chief Executive
of Tafari Studio Home, Lillian Phirmis, set up
the band in 1999 while working as a session
bassist for Johnny Walker
Productions. |

| On the lonely trail to find his
musical quest he found Louvres, the rhythm
guitarist. Louvre was learning bass from the
chief exec until he made the choice to
concentrate on rhythm. The CE now needed a
drummer and he decided to place an advert in the
London "Loot" newspaper. Out of this
came two other memebers of the band; Mark on the
drums, and Enyake (En-ya-ki) on keyboards. Enyake,
despite being an all round musician, was more
suited to keyboards. Next on board the Mothership
was the jazz guitarist Toks, who attended the
same musinc college as the CE and the MD (more
about him later!). Toks comes from a deeply
rooted jazz background and features only on
specific projects organised by Tafari Studio Home.
To complete the lineup came Mr Trevor the Musical
Director, also a guitarist and student at Morley
College. Out of the Tafari Studio Home brothers
and sisters we present to you all a set of fine
musicians known as the Lo'Verses Band. A special
dedication to the two female singers featured
with the Lo'Verses Band, Amelia and Busy. |
